The NATF: A hub of collective intelligence

The NATF counts today 303 Fellows who represent a very large spectrum of knowledge and competence, comprising: research scientists, industrialists and entrepreneurs, economists and lawyers, philosophers of the sciences and technologies, urban planners and architects, physicists, chemists, engineers, astronauts, physicians and surgeons, specialists in ICTs, agronomists and food and agriculture specialists etc.

The Academy, resolutely independent and impartial in the way ir addresses real issues of the interactions between technology and society, accompanies societal questioning as we seek to discover meaning and content in technological progress, leading to reasoned, reasonable decisions for the benefit of an enlightened public. “Sharing reasoned, chosen progress”, is the NATF motto.

The Academy holds an intermediate, bench-marking position between policymakers and the general public opinion, and contributes, through the recognised quality and originality of its actions and studies, to favouring and enhancing Progress for all.
